About the Role

We’re looking for a motivated and experienced  Title Abstractor – Oil & Gas to join our nationwide network of land professionals. This fully remote,  contract-based position offers  ongoing project work and the chance to make a real impact in fast-paced, high-value energy projects.

You’ll be responsible for researching property records, analyzing complex title chains, and preparing clear, client-ready documentation — all while working independently and meeting tight deadlines.

What You’ll Do

• Dive deep into county records to determine surface and mineral ownership.
• Conduct detailed title and HBP (Held by Production) examinations.
• Prepare professional-grade abstracts, run sheets, flowcharts, and ownership reports.
• Track lease expirations and flag any risks or inconsistencies.
• Deliver clear, organized findings to internal teams and clients.
• Manage your own workload while meeting firm deadlines and quality expectations.

What You Bring

• At least 1 year of mineral title experience .
• Proven ability to work independently and handle complex title issues.
• Strong Excel skills and attention to detail.
• Working knowledge of oil & gas contract law and industry practices.
• Operate under a registered  LLC .
• Current  AAPL membership .
• Must pass a federal and state background check.
