Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and experienced CPA to join a dynamic team in Columbia, SC. The ideal candidate will have 5-7 years of experience in tax accounting, with a strong background in preparing and reviewing complex tax returns. This is an on-site position that requires working five days a week in a Columbia office.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and file complex individual, corporate, partnership, and trust tax returns.
Analyze financial data to ensure tax compliance and identify potential tax-saving opportunities.
Conduct tax research to ensure adherence to current tax laws and regulations.
Review and maintain accurate records of tax filings, deductions, and credits.
Assist in managing the firm's tax compliance process and related documentation.
Provide guidance on tax planning strategies for clients, ensuring tax efficiency.
Collaborate with the accounting team to address and resolve any tax-related inquiries or issues.
Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations, ensuring that tax filings are in compliance.
Qualifications:
5-7 years of tax accounting experience, including experience with complex returns.
Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.
Proficiency in tax preparation software.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to communicate complex tax concepts clearly and effectively.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA designation.
Requirements:
Must be available to work on-site in Columbia, SC, 5 days per week.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
