The City of North Richland Hills Police Department is seeking qualified individuals for part-time Campus Police Officer positions assigned to elementary schools within the Birdville and Keller School Districts. Ideal for retired officers seeking meaningful, flexible work. Retired officers are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Maintain a visible, reassuring presence on campus.
  2. Ensure safety through patrol and monitoring of school grounds.
  3. Build positive relationships with students and staff.
  4. Respond to incidents in a calm, supportive, non-enforcement-first manner.
  5. Serve as liaison between the school and public safety resources.

Schedule & Pay:

  • The position will generally follow the BISD school schedule. On occasion, Officers may be required to attend training or work additional assignments when school is not in session.
  • Competitive hourly rate: [$39.72/hr depending on experience].

What We're Looking For

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Two years of prior continuous service as a full-time paid police officer.
  • Valid Texas Class C Driver’s License.
  • TCOLE Basic Peace Officer License.
  • Must be able to pass an annual physical fitness test.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with children.
