Job Description

We're looking for a motivated and strategic team player to join our team as Director of Sales and Marketing at our busy 109-room extended stay Home2 Suites. In this role, you'll be responsible for developing and executing sales strategies to drive revenue primarily through room sales, with a strong focus on extended stay contracts, group bookings, negotiated contracts, and the sports and leisure segments. As this property does not offer catering or event space, your efforts will be centered on optimizing long-stay occupancy and high-value group business. You’ll also manage the marketing budget to create property-specific campaigns and promotions that build brand awareness and generate demand. • Lead, mentor, and support the sales team to ensure exceptional performance and a customer-first culture focused on extended stay guests and group business.
• Develop and implement pricing strategies based on market trends, demand, and competitive analysis to maximize room revenue.
• Proactively identify and secure group bookings, including corporate accounts, sports teams, and leisure travel, with a focus on long-term and repeat business.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, community partners, and local organizations to drive business growth and brand awareness.
• Prepare and maintain accurate sales reports, tracking performance metrics, marketing spend, market share, and pipeline activity.
• Collaborate with hotel leadership and ownership to evaluate business performance and adjust sales and marketing strategies to meet revenue goals.

Qualifications:

• Basic computer skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
• High diploma or GED and a bachelor’s degree preferably in marketing or hospitality
• Thorough knowledge of marketing strategies and best practices for a sales department
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• 5+ years of experience in sales and marketing, preferably with some experience in a sales management role
