A member of our recruitment team will provide more details. **Job Summary** We are seeking a Jr. Penetration Tester to join our growing team. The candidate should have 1+ years of Cyber Security experience, and preferably with a focus in penetration testing to join our Enterprise Information Security organization on the Penetration Testing team. **Major Responsibilities** + Work closely with Sr. member(s) to support penetration testing assignment(s) + Assist to validate the effectiveness of the remediation solution for security finding(s) that are ready to be re-tested + Assist with identifying and assessing vulnerabilities in systems and applications. This includes utilizing manual and automated testing methods to find and exploit code flaws, misconfigurations, and insecure software. + Write clear and concise penetration testing reports detailing findings and recommendations. + Continually research on new exploitation/attack techniques against technology stack(s) currently being used at the organization + Maintaining familiarity with industry trends and security best practices + Contributing to the team continuous improvement efforts **Qualifications:** + 1+ years of experience in penetration testing, software development or performing IT functions like system, network, or security analyst role + Bachelor's Degree in Cyber Security, Computer Science, or related field. + Understanding with one or more of the following technology areas is highly desirable: + Network infrastructure (technologies, architectures, operations). + Various network and host-based security products and services. + Active Directory, servers, services, desktops and mobile devices. + Unix, Linux, AIX. + SQL, Oracle, DB2 Databases. + Understanding of security concepts such as OWASP, the MITRE ATT&CK framework, and the software development lifecycle (SDLC). + Familiar with testing frameworks and tools such as Burp Suite, Metasploit, Cobalt Strike, Kali Linux, Nessus, PowerShell Empire and AutoSploit. + Entry-level proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, Bash, and Ruby. + Entry-level understanding in network testing, application vulnerability assessments, risk analysis, and compliance testing strongly preferred. + Understanding of penetration-testing methodologies + Good communication and report-writing skills. + Familiar with cloud and container technologies like AWS, Azure, and Kubernetes is a plus. + Knowledge of one or more compliance frameworks: NIST, FFIEC, GLBA, SOX, PCI, etc. + Knowledge of OSI stack + Knowledge of OWASP/OSSTMM Penetration Test Methodologies + Knowledge of common software security issues and remediation techniques (OWASP Top 10, SANS 25, Mitre ATT&CK, etc.) Soft Skills: + Analytical thinker and self-starter + Iterative problem-solver + Serving as a trusted advisor + Effectively leveraging technology + Collaborates and/or leads inclusively The typical base pay range for this role is between $83K - $109K depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and location. This role may also be eligible for certain discretionary performance-based bonus and/or incentive compensation.
