Duties: Working in the experimental research lab of Prof. Philippe Buhlmann in Smith Hall 75% design and conduct experiments and analyze data in electroanalytical chemistry toward the fabrication and characterization of solid contact potentiometric sensors 10% attend and contribute to all group meetings and work collaboratively with the group on manuscripts and support other researchers in the lab 10% maintain the laboratory and experimental equipment such as rotovaps, electrochemical instrumentation, reference electrodes, and other instrumentation 5% maintain a clean and safe working environment Qualifications Required: A bachelor's degree in chemistry, chemical engineering or related college courses and work experience in a laboratory setting, or a combination of education and relevant work experience to equal at least four years. Preferred: Experience with electroanalytical laboratory instrumentation, including safety protocol and handling of chemicals and other hazardous materials. Scientific writing experience (research summaries, manuscripts for submission to journals).
